A pickup truck slammed into the side of the Sears store in Pryor last night and the young men who fled from the scene of the accident were apprehended by Pryor Police.
Both of the subjects claimed injuries after being apprehended a couple of blocks from the scene of the accident and they were transported to Mayes County Medical Center.
Pryor Police Chief Dennis Nichols was back at the scene today and did not have access to the report to provide names of the suspects, but he said that both may have been minors.
The pickup reportedly struck a vehicle on Northeast Second Street at the Rowe intersection, continued westbound on Second Street, swerved to the point of jumping the curb on the eastbound lane between Adair and Mill, then zipped across U.S. 69.
The vehicle struck the store’s air conditioning units behind pipe fence near the intersection, knocked the fencing loose, then tore into the south side of teh store, according to Nichols.
